What renders the video?
Best-in-class AI video models, with each character's reference portrait steering every scene — so your cast looks like your cast from episode to episode. Every episode renders at 480p, 720p or 1080p — your pick.
What does it cost?
Every new account starts with 1,000 free credits and one free video — 30 sec or 1 min at 480p, no card required. After that you pay only for what's made, at what it costs us: about 12 credits per character, a few per script call, 9 per scene image, and 5.3 credits per second of 480p video (720p and 1080p cost more). Anything that fails is free. At 480p an episode costs at most $1.94 for 30 sec, $3.68 for 30+30 sec, $5.66 for 1 min and $8.34 for 2 min — most cost less. Credit packs start at $26 and unlock 30+30 sec, 2 min, 720p, 1080p and unlimited videos.
What aspect ratios can I export?
Everything ships 9:16 with captions baked in — exactly what TikTok, Reels, and Shorts want. Other ratios aren't available yet.
Can I post directly to TikTok and Instagram?
One tap stages everything: on mobile the share sheet hands the video straight to TikTok or Instagram with your caption copied; on desktop we download the MP4, copy the caption, and open the upload page — drop the file in and paste. Fully automatic publishing is on the roadmap. Each finished take also gets a public share link.
How does content safety work?
Every premise is screened before anything renders, and you approve the script before any video renders. We won't recreate real people or copyrighted characters — original cast only.
Can I use my own characters or art?
Yes. Upload your own character images and Episodo builds them into a recurring cast, or pick from our catalog of 50+ originals. Either way each character keeps the same look from episode to episode.
